Our Purpose
Local Outreach Ministry
The Purpose of the Local Outreach Ministry is to:
Provide direction, which is in line with Northgate’s purpose statement, leadership, and constitution and bylaws for determining support provided to ministries that are focused on ministering to the Greater Mat-Su Borough.
Foster wise investments by providing criteria for selecting local ministries, determining when to begin and end their support, and determining how much support to give and why.
Provide material and spiritual assistance to those who reside in the Mat-Su Borough and its communities.
Transform our culture by being the love of Christ in ministry and service.
Provide opportunities to strengthen, encourage, and support the local church through prayer, ministry teams, and resources.
Northgate Benevolence
The NGA Benevolence Ministry was created to minister to the people of the Mat-‐Su Valley by providing monetary assistance and/or financial counseling to those determined to have legitimate need. The NGA Benevolence Ministry desires to obey the biblical mandate to “love your neighbor as yourself” by looking after our fellow man’s financial needs. We desire to do this by providing funds to those in a true financial hardship and by providing financial counseling through Financial Peace University.
